About Me
Okay, who are you and where am I?
Michael Visser. I’m a web developer living in Brisbane. I am a IT Systems Specialist for Scanning Systems Australia, a retail solutions provider also based in Brisbane. Just so we’re clear, nothing I say on this site necessarily represents the views of Scanning Systems Australia; and that’s my personal disclaimer.
This is my personal site consisting of a technology-related blog and projects. My subject focus on technology covers emerging news and featured achievements within the Internet, mobile technology, marketing and creative industries. I do on occasion introduce unrelated subjects as segways to related topics.
What’s an IT Systems Specialist?

Remaining technically current with the tools and applications that they are supporting, as well as monitoring emerging technologies related to these systems is an integral part of this role.
Other skills called upon include detailed knowledge in computer hardware, systems networking and software development as part of day-to-day activities.
