Search engine friendly site image banners

We’ve all seen them, big over-compressed site banners. There is help and adding search engine support is easy. There are two choices, the first I will display here can be frowned upon but will do what you need - a quick-fix - the later approach actually being presentable but involving some work.

Keep the big over-compressed site banner and add a hidden header tag

Open your static HTML page placing a header element below your site banner code like this:

Within your attached style-sheet (*.css) add the following new line at the bottom of the style-sheet.

Save and check it worked by loading the page. The CSS style will hide the header element from your visitors but when the source is viewed the element will be machine-readable which is great for search engines.
