Installing i-nigma QR smart code Reader on the Sony Ericsson P1i

QR codes (known as ‘Quick Response’ barcodes) are being used extensively in Australian mobile marketing campaigns to distribute mobile content downloads, promotional messages or links to mobile micro-sites. QR codes can now be decoded using the 3.2 mega-pixel camera on the Sony Ericsson P1i with a free third-party application called i-nigma.

It turns out the Sony Ericsson P1i does have an uninstaller for removing software/applications you no longer require in your phone memory. The Uninstall feature can be accessed from:

Open Main Menu
Open Control Panel
Open Other
Open Uninstall
Select the application you would like to uninstall from the list
Press Uninstall

Select your preferred filter

Speed dial

You have now filtered incoming calls on your Sony Ericsson P1i.

Removing the startup Flight mode prompt on the Sony Ericsson P1i

Open Main menu
Open Control panel
Open Device
Open Flight mode
Remove the check from Prompt me with the Phone on or Flight mode choice when I press the On/off button
Press Save

You have now removed the Flight mode startup prompt on your Sony Ericsson P1i.
