Working Logitech Live! Webcam and Windows Vista Support

I was given a dated Logitech Live! webcam from a friend who had no use for it anymore and went about making the webcam work with Windows Vista: Ultimate, after much research I have a working Logitech Live! webcam that is fully supported by all flavours of Windows Vista!

FileZilla Remote Directory Disconnection Fix

FileZilla just edged itself closer to being my favourite FTP software package (next to SmartFTP) with the release of 3.1.3-rc1 and a fix to keep the remote directory tree and file list visible if disconnected by the server.

Crossfading tracks in Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player 11 includes great track crossfading support. Simply this means at the end of each song the volume is decreased and the next song faded in.

To turn crossfading on in Windows Media Player 11:

Open Windows Media Player.
Expand Enhancements from the View menu, select Crossfading and Auto Volume Leveling.

Renaming a SugarCRM feature tab

For whatever reason your users may want you to rename a tab.
An instance of this is leaving AEGIS for SugarCRM and having to relearn key terms, we renamed the Cases tab to Incidents in order to minimise the impact of changing support systems.
To do this you will require Administrative access:

Adding a Home dashlet showing all unallocated Support incidents

Configuring an Unallocated Incidents dashlet on your Home page allows you to see first-hand what incidents are in queue.

Removing HP QuickPlay from Pavilion with Vista

HP have failed miserably with its QuickPlay entertainment suite integrated in all HP Pavilion models. Do as I have and just dump it.

Default Trixbox Flash operator panel password

The default password for the Flash operator panel in Trixbox is “passw0rd“, be sure to include the zero character.
To change the password from it’s system default do the following:

Open the configuration file op_server.cfg within /var/www/html/panel.
Locate the line with “security_code=passw0rd”
Replace the value of security_code with your desired password
