Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor (Official site) is an established New York singer and pianist that has quickly gained traction in the Australian mainstream music scene.
With unique influences of folk, punk, rock, Jewish, Russian, hip hop, jazz and classical music produce fun, moving and regularly nostalgic tracks that share a sense of almost innocence to the rest of the worlds going on’s.
The most recent featured release Begin in Hope pulls heavily on contemporary jazz, classical and Jewish influences. Although not initially received well in Australia, Triple J has picked up on Regina’s works and is pushing a revival of her content.
