The infamous 90’s pop/rock/psychadelic crew of Courtney Taylor-Taylor (vocals, guitar), Zia McCabe (keyboard), Peter Holmström (guitar) and Brent De Boer (drums) will be arriving on Australian shores in early October. This years concert will mark the band’s 10th anniversary since first touching down from the rock heavens on to our soil. The Dandy Warhol’s have come a long way from their first signed album in 1995 to garner critical acclaim and global recognition within the pop/rock industry. Their 6th album, …Earth to the Dandy Warhols… is available now through iTunes and Rapsody and expected for physical release in August.

What I love most about the band is how they’ve managed to stay true to their basic roots, what I mean is the band formed as Courtney Taylor-Taylor put it becasuse they “needed music to drink to” and the same holds very true today. Try going to a college/uni party and not overhear a classic from The Dandy Warhol’s, “We Used to Be Friends”, “Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth” and my personal drinking favourite “Bohemian Like You”! November the 5th in Brisbane is going to go off, The Tivoli are hosting the event and with Australian devotion to this band tickets are limited and will sell fast!
