ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe and Albatron 7600 GT bug

Do not pair an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard with an Albatron 7600 GT 256MB SLI graphics card!
After a month of investigating the issue of intense game and 3D video freezes resulting in system crashes or what is now knowns as the “Benny Hill” effect I finally have a resolution, return the Albatron 7600 GT! I had applied every known fix available including dropping the PEG Link level to Slower, multiple fresh Windows installs, beta drivers recommended by ASUS even non-official nVidia Forceware drivers to no success. In a last ditch effort I handed the system over to the uMart Online workshop, their solution was to install an ASUS 7900 GS 256MB SLI graphics card for the price difference between the two.
I’ve just finished Half Life 2 without glitches, crashing or stutters! Now I’m looking for a challenge; Prey.
Thanks uMart Online!
